BIŠEVO - BLUE CAVE
It’s obvious how Blue Cave earned its name with its luminescent waters and startling blue light. This natural wonder is hidden among the sea cliffs of Bisevo Island and it is more enticing thanks to its location. One is rewarded with a stunning view and endless photo opportunities at the sight.
Blue Cave is one of 26 natural caves around Bisevo Island. In the past, Blue Cave was accessible only to divers, until 1884 when an artificial entrance was created for small boats to go in. At the midday, the mesmerizing light, created by sunlight reflection and bouncing off the white limestone floor, coats the entire cave in iridescent blue.
Blue Cave is located in Balun Bay on the island of Bisevo and the only way to reach the island is by a small boat from Komiza, which is the departure point for official Bisevo boats.
The most convenient way to visit it is taking a tour of the surrounding islands. Full-day speedboats leave Split every day, visit five (or six) islands and stop at the attractions such as Stiniva Cove, Smokova Bay beach and the Green Grotto.
For a more personalized experience explore them all with our private speedboat tour from Split. Spend the day with your family and friends, visit the most beautiful sea attractions in Croatia and enjoy snorkeling in the crystal-clear water full of fish.
