Zadar is a town of exceptional beauty, history and remarkable cultural heritage. It is located in the north of Dalmatia, in the heart of the Adriatic. It is 3000 years old city which has been devastated through the past, but every time emerging from the ruins stronger, richer and more beautiful. Zadar appeared for the first time in the 4th century B.C. as a settlement of Illyrian tribe Liburnians.

The Church of St Donat is widely considered one of the finest examples of Byzantine church architecture.

The city of Zadar is surrounded by an extremely well-indented coast, islands and intact nature. There are also countless modern architectural achievements such as the Sea Organ, first in the world which produces sounds with the waves, as well as the urban installation “Greeting to the Sun” that consist of multiple glass layers with solar modules beneath. This installation as the model of the Solar system is connected to the Sea Organ and it transforms the sound into a light game that begins after the sunset on Riva.
