TROGIR
A jewel of UNESCO world heritage list is the Old Town of Trogir, or as some call it the Stone Beauty.
Trogir was founded by Greek settlers 3000 years ago. It is one of the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic towns in central Europe.
Trogir is often called a museum town, it’s obvious why after you see the fortresses of Kamerlengo and Saint Mark, the Cipiko Palace, the Cathedral of Saint Lawrence and its treasury.
It is hard to list all the artistic values Trogir hides, but one of them is impossible to miss – the Cathedral’s monumental portal, the most important piece of stonework in Dalmatia.
Trogir was also a town with the first pharmacy in Europe. The pharmacy was opened on October 29, 1271.
Trogir is a town of exceptional beauty, one of those places you will remember forever.
