KORNATI ISLANDS
“On the last day of Creation God desired to crown his work, and thus created the Kornati islands out of tears, stars and breath.“
This is how George Bernard Shaw described the Kornati Islands.
The Kornati is an intricate stone labyrinth of islands and islets, an archipelago which consists of 140 islands. Numerous coves, natural beauty and crystal clear blue water are the reason why most of the islands are part of Kornati National Park.
In the Kornati sunlight penetrates deeply through clear sea and therefore creates a specific habitat for various types of corals and fish.
